From Alaska!

From Kay Lynn Odle-Moore. Sheer gossamer!

This makes our total snow count we've seen thus far 32.

More flakes!

From Katie Verna in North Carolina I received these delicate snowflakes! I love the Leo card!

The Most Unusual flakes...

The Palmetto Tatting Guild sent many, many flakes. The most unusual snowflakes I've received have got to be these that are tatted from eensy beensy ribbon. I have something very special in mind for those.

The others of these are beaded and sparkle like crazy. I believe this puts our snowflake count at 25!

And we're just getting a little warmed up! Or would that be cooled down?

More flakes arrived!

After receiving the flake from Dorcas, a day or two passed. I was beginning to wonder if any more would arrive. The flakes began falling one by one. . .

From Marj Rhodes - these needle tatted beauties!

And from dear, sweet Hope Green in Arizona where it doesn't snow so often...

Welcome to the Tatting Wonderland!

I thought it would be fun to share the progress of the Palmetto Tatting Guild Scholarship Fundraising quilt with you. Georgia Seitz graciously extended the invitation for tatters to contribute snowflakes to be used on a quilt which will be raffled to raise funds for the guild scholarship fund. Snowflakes have arrived from far and wide.

The first snowflake I received came from Dorcas Newkirk. Isn't it lovely? The snowflake is pictured on the navy silk dupioni for the quilt.
